Poetry has been a part of my life before I even started reading fiction. I first formally studied and wrote poetry during my undergraduate career, and continued writing, publishing, and performing, afterward.
The likes of Adrienne Rich, Anne Sexton, Frank O' Hara, James Baldwin, and Frank Bidart raised me to love free verse and to share oddities about the banality and wildness of everyday life.
My poetry has been published in various local venues, museum catalogs, and journals. A selection of these includes Soundings East, Crab Fat Magazine, POETiCA REViEW, OPE! A Madison Anthology, and the 2016 Poetry Speaks catalogue from the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Below is a small selection of my work.
